Cut cherry stems — a natural draining infusion, no additives
Cherry stems have been used for centuries in traditional European herbal medicine. This often overlooked part of the fruit concentrates compounds recognised for their natural draining properties. As a herbal tea, they are one of the best documented traditional remedies for supporting kidney and urinary function.
What makes this product unique: carefully selected cherry stems, cut to the optimal size for infusion, dried without chemical treatment, packed with no additives and no preservatives. A single-ingredient formula for a pure herbal tea. Available in 100 g and 200 g formats.
Cherry stems: a plant with age-old uses
The cherry stem (the stalk of Prunus avium or Prunus cerasus) is the woody part that connects the fruit to the branch. Used as a herbal tea since antiquity, it appears in many traditional European pharmacopoeias.
Its main active constituents: – Tannins (astringent, soothing) – Flavonoids (antioxidant) – Potassium salts (draining effect) – Natural sugars – Organic acids
Recognised traditional uses
In traditional herbal medicine, cherry stem tea is recommended to: – Support renal elimination and the clearing of toxins – Support the body's drainage – Accompany seasonal detox courses – Contribute to urinary comfort – Accompany a balanced diet as part of a slimming goal
Note: these uses come from tradition and do not constitute health claims authorised by EFSA.
Why choose the cut form
Cherry stems are available in several forms: whole, cut, powdered, in capsules or as a liquid extract. The cut form is the best suited to use as a tea: – An optimal contact surface with hot water – Easier extraction of the active compounds – A faster and more consistent infusion than with whole stems – No excipients, no unnecessary encapsulation
Ingredients
Single ingredient: cut and dried cherry stems (Prunus avium / cerasus). No additives. No preservatives. No flavourings. No added sugar. Formats available: 100 g and 200 g.
How to prepare cherry stem tea
Standard preparation: 1. Bring the water to a simmer (80–90°C, do not boil) 2. Put 1 to 2 tablespoons (around 5 g) into a cup or teapot 3. Leave to infuse for 10 to 15 minutes, covered 4. Strain and drink hot or cold
Tip: for an effective draining course, drink 2 to 3 cups a day for 10 to 20 days. A course can be repeated after a break of a few weeks.
Variations: – Cold tea: a long infusion (1 hour) in the fridge, to drink through the day – Detox blend: combine with horsetail and bearberry – An indulgent version: add a slice of lemon and a little honey
